Your gift contributes to the vitality and diversity of cultural life in Massachusetts by enabling the VLA to continue its advocacy efforts, educational programming for artists, and legal referral program.
For example, this past Fall the VLA conducted its “Artist's Professional Toolbox .” This program included workshops on marketing, networking and financial planning for artists. Over the past year, the VLA recruited a number of Massachusetts Attorneys who dedicated their time and provided pro bono and reduced-fee legal services to the art community.
Your support also allows the VLA to be innovative in supporting the artists of Massachusetts. In 2000, the VLA spearheaded the creation of the Arts Services Coalition (ASC). The ASC was formed to create and support a network of professionals and organizations dedicated to providing a full range of professional services to artist and arts organizations. One of the main goals of the ASC is to create a resource center for the artists of Massachusetts. If you would like to be involved in this or any other program, please contact the VLA office. We would welcome your participation.
